The first and only mountain museum in Greece, could not exist anywhere else but Karpenisi. It is housed in a stone building and became a reality thanks to the donations of friends and athletes who have distinguished themselves in mountaineering and other mountain activities.
In the Museum, the visitor will learn the history of mountaineering and skiing while at the same time he can admire valuable exhibits such as items from the first Greek Expedition that conquered the highest peak in the world.
